Stacy Mayweather has tag-teamed, and locked in with many of Grand Rapids juggernauts to create a Hip Hop classic titled ‘Dark Power 4 Dark Souls’. One of Heavygame.biz founders Oakdale Boonce credits Stacy with spreading the gospel of Grand Rapids hip-hop far beyond the city lines. “What Mr. Mayweather has created and put together is pure genius! After hearing a sneak peak of a few tracks and features, I knew that he had something special. He recruited some of the city's deadliest verbal assassins for the project. With those types of of features matched with Stacey's lethal lyrical ability, this project allows the outside world to visit the Grand Rapids Hip Hop scene without ever stepping foot in the city.” Oakdale Boonce told the Game Report during a sit down.

The ‘Dark Power Album 4 Dark Souls’ will be an instant classic when it is initially released. This project is important for the Hip Hop world that is still, from a national perspective, largely tied to the media centers at the south and the east and west coast. Yes, Grand Rapids does have notable artists, but the huge number of important debuts from other places around the country has shown that Hip Hop music had developed mature scenes in multiple cities — scenes that fans from around the country have started paying significant attention to. This project that Stacey has executive produced will allow the city’s Hip Hop scene to expand enough to allow a variety of notable debuts, of wildly different styles, to make their way into the marketplace to be heard. The ‘Dark Power Album 4 Dark Souls’ is a win-win for the Grand Rapids Hip Hop scene.
